The National Home Run Derby is a power-hitting competition where top players compete to see who can hit the most home runs as an individual and as part of the team
Unlike traditional derbies, this format features both individual and team competitions at the local, state and national level. Players compete for personal glory while also contributing to their team’s overall score.
Participants ages 8-13 at all levels can participate... rec players, little league and travel level players are welome.
Players take turns in timed rounds, aiming to hit as many home runs as possible. There will be individual rounds, team-based scoring, or bracket-style elimination.
Each home run counts as one point. Some derbys include bonus points for hitting long-distance homers and for streaks of consecutive home runs.
Rosters will be determined 3 days prior to events
Each hitter competes while there team is at bat. Each player will get an equal number of swings during their team at bats. The player who hits the most home runs in their bracket advances, with the last slugger standing crowned the Individual Champion.
Every player’s home run total also counts toward their team’s score. At the end of the event, the team with the highest combined total is crowned the Team Champion.
